Karen has over 25 years of experience working for Fortune 500 organizations such as Beneficial Management Corporation of America (HSBC), Bayer, Chubb and Mars Inc. where she was a Corporate Trainer and Expert Facilitator for 15 years. Her background in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Sales and Category Insights provide her with an understanding of how businesses operate to drive results.
During her career, she’s gained experience working with individuals on personal development & performance, career transitions, change management, communication, public speaking, presentation skills, and onboarding. She brings her passion for learning to organizations, specifically through team development, team performance and learning programs. These programs can empower your employees to reach individual goals, while also ensuring their goals align to business objectives.
Karen is skilled at creating engaging and interactive learning environments (both live and virtual), based on adult learning theories that work, for organizations who are looking to excite and engage their learners. She is well versed in transforming live training content for today’s virtual environment and is an expert facilitator.
In addition to KM Heckman Consulting, Karen is an active partner at Intentional Discovery for Learning, where she collaborates to design and lead Leadership Development, Team Engagement, and Trust Building programs for clients.
